Xelius DRS 7.0
The wind – that natural element which challenges the cyclist and pushes them to their limits. Fighting, fighting and fighting again against this invisible force that slows you down, curbs your speed and saps your morale. Yet when this wind is tamed, it propels you to new heights of performance. It is this DNA that the new Xelius DRS embodies perfectly. This bike – a combination of the Xelius SL and Aircode DRS – does not play with the wind, but stands up to it, challenges it and brings out the best in it.
In the wind tunnel, the figures are clear: aerodynamics have improved by 15 per cent compared with its predecessors. In watts, the outstanding performance is confirmed with a saving of up to 15 watts at high speeds on flat terrain. And what about in competitive racing? A new speed rocket that saw Cassandre Beaugrand crowned champion at the Olympic Games. And it will continue to push every rider’s performance to the limit in the future!
Xelius DRS: performance combined with comfort
By taking the radical decision to combine the best of two bikes with numerous professional victories to their name, Lapierre’s engineers have made a significant choice. Nevertheless, this bike cannot be reduced to speed alone: these new, sleek lines and the minimalist design (particularly evident on the fork) offer a completely new perspective. The thoroughly revised 3D Tubular technology frees up the entire seat tube, allowing it to flex along its entire length.
The result is significantly improved comfort, which subtly complements the aggressive geometry of the rear triangle. Performance combined with comfort, then, confirmed by its compatibility with a wide range of tyres (up to 32 mm) to tackle a variety of road surfaces (cobblestones, off-road, gravel, etc.). A road bike through and through!
This bike arrives (almost) fully assembled. All you need to do is straighten the handlebars and fit the pedals.

Safety information for bicycles, e-bikes and children’s bikes
The safe and long-term use of bicycles, e-bikes and children’s bikes requires careful checks, regular maintenance and proper handling. These guidelines provide practical advice on safe use and should be followed in conjunction with the manufacturer’s instruction manual.
1. Safety checks before riding
The following checks should be carried out before every ride:
Brakes and steering: Test that the brakes are working properly and ensure that the steering is smooth and stable.
Tyres and wheels: Check that the tyre pressure is correct and that the wheels and quick-release skewers are securely fastened.
Fittings: Check that attachments such as mudguards, luggage racks, the saddle and pedals are securely fastened.
Accessories and loading: Ensure that luggage and accessories are correctly fitted and that the maximum load capacity is not exceeded.
2. Technical safety and permitted use
Component inspection: Regularly check safety-critical components such as the frame, fork, handlebars, seat post and brakes for damage. Do not use the bicycle if there are any visible defects.
Maximum load capacity: Observe the weight restrictions for the total weight (bicycle, rider, load and, where applicable, trailer). You will find these details in the manufacturer’s information.
Proper use: Only use the bicycle or e-bike within the intended category of use. Improper use poses safety risks.
Accessories and modifications: Only use approved accessories such as child seats or trailers, and do not carry out any unauthorised modifications, particularly to the drive system of e-bikes.
3. Special notes for e-bikes
Battery and charging:
Only use batteries and chargers approved by the manufacturer.
Charge the battery in safe locations and in accordance with the temperature specifications.
Remove the battery before transporting the e-bike.
Electric assistance:
Familiarise yourself with the assistance modes and the push assist function. Test the e-bike first in a safe environment, particularly with varying loads or on difficult terrain.
Running in disc brakes:
Run in new brakes before your first long ride to ensure optimum braking performance.
Transport guidelines:
When transporting the bike, follow the manufacturer’s instructions and comply with legal regulations.

Suitable size and equipment: Ensure that the bicycle is age-appropriate and that all safety features (e.g. brakes, reflectors, chain guard) are in good working order.
Loading and accessories: Securely attach child seats and luggage racks, and ensure that the load capacity is not exceeded.
5. Care and maintenance
Cleaning: Use a soft cloth and mild cleaning agents. Avoid high-pressure washers to prevent damage to electrical and mechanical components.
Regular inspections: Arrange for regular servicing by a qualified specialist workshop to check for wear and tear and ensure safety.
Spare parts: Only use original or approved spare parts to maintain the bike’s functionality.
6. What to do after your ride
