Xelius DRS 7.0
The wind, that natural element that challenges cyclists and pushes them to their limits. Fighting, fighting and fighting again against this invisible force that slows you down, reduces your speed and breaks your spirit. But when this wind is tamed, it helps you reach new heights of performance. It is this DNA that the new Xelius DRS perfectly embodies. This bike – a combination of Xelius SL and Aircode DRS – doesn't play with the wind, it faces it head on, challenges it and gets the best out of it.
In the wind tunnel, the figures are clear: aerodynamics are improved by 15% compared to its predecessors. In watts, the outstanding performance is confirmed with savings of up to 15 watts at high speeds on flat terrain. And what about racing? A new speed rocket that crowned Cassandre Beaugrand at the Olympic Games. And will continue to push everyone's performance to the limit in the future!
Xelius DRS, performance and comfort
With the radical decision to combine the best of two bikes with numerous professional victories, Lapierre's engineers have made an important choice. However, this bike is not just about speed: its new, racy lines and simple design (particularly evident in the fork) offer a completely new perspective. The thoroughly revised 3D tubular technology frees up the entire seat tube, allowing it to deform along its entire length.
The result is significantly improved comfort, which subtly complements the nervous geometry of the rear triangle. Performance with comfort, confirmed by compatibility with a wide range of tyres (up to 32 mm) to tackle a variety of roads (cobblestones, off-road, gravel, etc.). A born road bike!
This bike arrives (almost) completely assembled. All you have to do is straighten the handlebars and attach the pedals.

Safety information for bicycles, e-bikes and children's bicycles
Safe and long-term use of bicycles, e-bikes and children's bicycles requires careful inspection, regular maintenance and proper handling. These instructions provide practical recommendations for safe use and should be considered in conjunction with the manufacturer's operating instructions.
1. Safety checks before riding
The following checks should be carried out before every ride :
Brakes and steering : Test the brakes to ensure they are working properly and make sure that the steering is smooth and stable.
Tyres and wheels : Check that the tyre pressure is correct and that the wheels and quick-release skewers are secure.
Fastenings : Check that attachments such as mudguards, luggage racks, saddles and pedals are secure.
Accessories and load : Ensure that luggage and accessories are correctly mounted and that the permissible load capacity is not exceeded.
2. Technical safety and permissible use
Component inspection: Regularly check safety-related components such as the frame, fork, handlebars, seat post and brakes for damage. Do not use the bicycle if there are any visible defects.
Maximum load capacity : Observe the weight restrictions for the total weight (bicycle, rider, load and, if applicable, trailer). You will find the specifications in the manufacturer's information.
Proper use : Only use the bicycle or e-bike within the intended category of use. Improper use leads to safety risks.
Accessories and modifications : Only use approved accessories such as child seats or trailers and do not make any unauthorised modifications, especially to the drive system of e-bikes.
3. Special information for e-bikes
Battery and charging process:
Only use batteries and chargers approved by the manufacturer.
Charge the battery in safe locations and in accordance with the temperature specifications.
Remove the battery before transporting the e-bike.
Electric assistance:
Familiarise yourself with the assistance modes and the push assist. Test the e-bike first in a safe environment, especially with different loads or difficult ground conditions.
Running in disc brakes:
Run in new brakes before your first long ride to ensure optimum braking performance.
Transport specifications:
When transporting, observe the manufacturer's instructions and legal regulations.

Appropriate size and equipment : Ensure that the bicycle is age-appropriate and that all safety features (e.g. brakes, reflectors, chain guard) are intact.
Loading and accessories : Securely attach child seats and luggage racks and ensure that the load capacity is not exceeded.
5. Care and maintenance
Cleaning : Use a soft cloth and mild cleaning agents. Avoid high-pressure cleaners to prevent damage to electrical and mechanical components.
Regular inspections : Schedule regular maintenance with a qualified specialist to check for wear and tear and ensure safety.
Spare parts : Only use original or approved spare parts to maintain the functionality of the bicycle.
6. Behaviour after riding
Document damage : If there is visible damage or malfunction, the bicycle must not be used any further. Have it checked by a specialist workshop.
Avoid hot components : Avoid contact with heated components such as brake discs or drive units to prevent burns.
