Thanks to state-of-the-art CFD software and intensive wind tunnel development, the 5th generation of the Teammachine SLR 01 sets new standards as the most aerodynamically advanced climbing bike in BMC’s history.
This is where integration meets highly functional comfort. The next-generation ICS Carbon Evo cockpit has been redesigned for a better fit and delivers the comfort and control typical of BMC.
Our Aerocore system consists of two super-light carbon bottle cages that integrate seamlessly into the design of the newly shaped down tube and seat tube, resulting in a significant reduction in aerodynamic drag.
This bike arrives (almost) fully assembled. All you need to do is straighten the handlebars and fit the pedals.

1. Safety checks before riding
The following checks should be carried out before every ride :

2. Technical safety and permitted use
Component inspection: Regularly check safety-critical components such as the frame, fork, handlebars, seat post and brakes for damage. Do not use the bicycle if there are any visible defects.
Maximum load capacity : Observe the weight restrictions for the total weight (bicycle, rider, load and, where applicable, trailer). You will find the specifications in the manufacturer’s information.
Proper use : Only use the bicycle or e-bike within the intended category of use. Improper use poses safety risks.
Accessories and modifications : Only use approved accessories such as child seats or trailers, and do not carry out any unauthorised modifications, particularly to the drive system of e-bikes.
3. Special notes for e-bikes
Battery and charging:
Only use batteries and chargers approved by the manufacturer.
Charge the battery in safe locations and in accordance with the temperature specifications.
Remove the battery before transporting the e-bike.
Electric assistance:
Familiarise yourself with the assistance modes and the push assist function. Test the e-bike first in a safe environment, particularly when carrying different loads or on difficult terrain.
Running in disc brakes:
Run in new brakes before your first long ride to ensure optimum braking performance.
Transport guidelines:
When transporting the bike, follow the manufacturer’s instructions and comply with legal regulations.

4. Special safety rules for children’s bicycles
Duty of supervision: Children must only use bicycles under the supervision of a responsible adult.
Suitable size and equipment : Ensure that the bicycle is age-appropriate and that all safety features (e.g. brakes, reflectors, chain guard) are in good working order.
