With its robust construction and 800 Wh battery, the Reaction Hybrid Race masters all routes with ease. This e-hardtail is also PowerMore-ready, which means it can carry an additional 250 Wh for even more range if required. Its Bosch CX motor with Smart System is responsible for active forward support, while the 12-speed Sram Transmission 90 has the right gear for every situation on the go. For maximum riding comfort and first-class control, we have fitted 2.6-inch wide, grippy Schwalbe tyres and a Rockshox Recon Silver air suspension fork. Speaking of control: the hydraulic 4-piston disc brakes provide powerful braking power when required and slow the bike down reliably and safely in all conditions - and a retractable seat post is also included. The elegance and quality of the Reaction Hybrid are no coincidence, because the frame comes with many clever features. Its 800 Wh PowerTube battery from Bosch, together with the Bosch CX motor, fits safely, cleanly and beautifully into the design. The chassis is also PowerMore-ready, which means that a further 250 Wh can be added if required. The integrated seat clamp and internally routed cables also play into the clean lines. What else? A mount for the chain guide and the option of retrofitting ACID mudguards, a pannier rack and a compatible ACID front light via X-Connect. Gutes Bike, aber deutliche Mängel bei der Endkontrolle
Ich habe mir Anfang des Monats ein Cube Reaction Hybrid Race 800 zugelegt. Ich habe es hier bestellt, weil die örtlichen Händler meine Wunschfarbe und -größe nicht mehr vorrätig hatten. Die Lieferung ging ziemlich schnell und das Bike kam komplett unbeschadet bei mir an.
Ich habe mir das Bike hauptsächlich zugelegt, weil ich wieder öfter raus, an die frische Luft und in die Natur wollte. Und das funktioniert tatsächlich besser als gedacht. Das Bike macht richtig Laune und ich bin deutlich öfter damit unterwegs, als ich ursprünglich erwartet hatte. Seinen Zweck erfüllt es also definitiv.
Allerdings hatte ich in den ersten drei Wochen bereits erstaunlich viele kleinere Probleme:
Angefangen hat es mit einem optischen Mangel an einer Bremsleitung und einem kleinen Schnitt im rechten Griff. Dafür habe ich vom Händler einen Gutschein bekommen.
Danach war das Purion 200 ziemlich lose und hat sich während der Fahrt verstellt. Festziehen war nicht möglich, da die Schraube nur durchdrehte. Herausdrehen ging ebenfalls nicht. Ursache war letztendlich eine gelöste Gewindebuchse. Das Purion wurde seitlich vom Lenker abgezogen und zum Händler zurückgeschickt. Der Händler hat anschließend problemlos Ersatz geschickt. Allerdings stand das Bike dadurch etwa 1,5 Wochen.
Irgendetwas hat unten am Antrieb geschliffen. Ursache war die Kettenführung, die zu nah an der Kette saß. Das ließ sich schnell beheben.
Die hintere Bremsscheibe hat über die gesamte Umdrehung geschliffen. Ich habe sie anschließend mit der Lichtspaltmethode ausgerichtet. Jetzt schleift sie nur noch an einer bestimmten Stelle. Besser bekomme ich es momentan nicht hin, damit kann ich erstmal leben.
Dann kam der Dropper. Ich musste den Sattel ungefähr 3 cm höher stellen. Daraufhin gab die Dropper-Sattelstütze bei Belastung sofort nach. Über die Rändelschraube am Remote ließ sich das Problem nicht beheben. Mein Verdacht war, dass der Seilzug zu kurz eingestellt war und dadurch der Dropper permanent leicht betätigt wurde. Ich habe deshalb den Seilzug am Remote etwas gelöst, weiter hineingeschoben und anschließend über die Rändelschraube neu eingestellt. Jetzt funktioniert der Dropper einwandfrei. Allerdings klemmt die Schraube am Remote den Seilzug jetzt nur noch auf dem letzten Zentimeter, weshalb ich auch die Endkappe entfernen musste. Beim nächsten Werkstattbesuch werde ich vermutlich einen längeren Seilzug einbauen lassen. Was mich beim Dropper zusätzlich gewundert hat: Der Remote war komplett falsch montiert. Der Hebel ließ sich überhaupt nicht betätigen, weil das Purion im Weg war. Wie man bei der Endkontrolle den Dropper geprüft haben will ist mir ein Rätsel.
Und jetzt zu meinem aktuellen Problem:
Heute habe ich die ersten 100 km mit dem Bike vollgemacht. Ich wollte lediglich den Reifendruck kontrollieren und habe dabei festgestellt, dass hinten an der Schaltung etwas nicht ganz richtig aussieht. Das Endstück der Schutzhülle des Schaltzugs saß scheinbar nicht dort, wo es hingehört.
Ich habe es vorsichtig wieder hineingedrückt – und plötzlich hat sich die Schaltung verstellt. Jetzt fluchtet das Schaltwerk bzw. die unteren Schaltröllchen nicht mehr sauber mit der Kassette. Es scheint sich dabei um etwa 2–3 Gänge verstellt zu haben. Außerdem sitzt die Kette nicht mehr sauber auf dem oberen Schaltröllchen.
Ich weiß ehrlich gesagt nicht, ob man dafür Cube oder Statera Bikes die Schuld geben sollte. Aber in diesem Zustand darf ein neues Fahrrad meiner Meinung nach nicht ausgeliefert werden.
Das Bike selbst macht mir nach wie vor sehr viel Spaß und ich bin froh, mich für ein E-MTB entschieden zu haben. Gerade deshalb ist es umso ärgerlicher, dass ich mich in den ersten drei Wochen bereits mit so vielen Montage- bzw. Einstellungsproblemen beschäftigen musste.
Ich bin gespannt, welche weiteren Probleme mich noch erwarten...

Handling
Initially familiarise yourself with the handling and braking behaviour, as well as the electric assistance modes and the push assist (if fitted), particularly when carrying different loads, in wet conditions and on loose surfaces
After riding / maintenance
In the event of damage or malfunctions, the electric bicycle must be inspected by a specialist workshop before further use
Have the electric bicycle regularly inspected and serviced by a specialist workshop in accordance with the manufacturer’s specifications to avoid hazards, e.g. due to wear and tear
Observe the specified torques (Nm) when fitting components
Use only batteries and chargers approved by the manufacturer
Follow the manufacturer’s instructions for charging and using the battery, particularly regarding ambient temperature and the location where charging takes place
Only use undamaged and unmodified batteries and chargers
Modifying the components on the electric bike may affect safety and type approval. Contact your specialist dealer before undertaking such work.
