Be aware of the increased risk of injury due to potentially high temperatures of individual components (e.g. brakes, drive unit, headlights)
Observe the manufacturer's instructions for attaching add-on parts (bags, lock, child seat, carrier systems, etc.) and for using a trailer
Observe the legal regulations applicable in the respective country for use on public roads
When transporting the electric bike, observe the instructions of the manufacturer, the legislator or the transport company

Before each journey, check in particular
the correct function of the brakes, steering, chassis and lights,
the tight fit of handlebars, stem, wheels, mudguards and pedals and
the tyre pressure
The tyres must be checked and adjusted in accordance with the manufacturer's instructions.
Riding behaviour
Initially familiarise yourself with the riding and braking behaviour as well as the electric assistance modes and the push assistance (if available), especially with different loads, in wet conditions and on loose surfaces
After the journey / maintenance
In the event of damage or malfunctions, the electric bike must be checked by a specialist company before further use
Have the electric bike checked and serviced regularly by a specialised company in accordance with the manufacturer's specifications in order to avoid hazards, e.g. due to wear and tear
Observe the specified torques (Nm) for the assembly of components
Only use batteries and chargers approved by the manufacturer
Observe the manufacturer's specifications for charging and using the battery, particularly with regard to the ambient temperature and location of the charging process
Only use undamaged and unmodified batteries and chargers
Modifying the add-on parts on the electric bike can affect safety and approval. Contact your specialist dealer before making any such changes.
