General
Failure to use the product as intended can lead to component and material failure, resulting in accidents and injuries:
Observe the restrictions of the specified usage class / bike classification
Do not exceed the permissible total weight (electric bike + rider + load + trailer, if applicable)
Observe the manufacturer's specifications for transporting people and loads
Manipulation of the drive system, in particular tuning, is not permitted
Check the electric bike for possible damage before each ride, in particular the frame, fork, handlebar/stem unit, drive unit and seat post
Do not use the electric bicycle if you notice any damage
Be aware of the increased risk of injury due to potentially high temperatures of individual components (e.g. brakes, drive unit, headlight)
Follow the manufacturer's instructions for attaching accessories (bags, locks, child seats, carrier systems, etc.) and for the use of a trailer
Observe the legal regulations applicable in the respective country for use on public roads
When transporting the electric bicycle, observe the specifications of the manufacturer, the legislator or the transport company

the correct functioning of brakes, steering, chassis and lighting,
the secure fit of the handlebars, stem, wheels, mudguards and pedals, and
the tyre pressure
Checks and adjustments must be carried out in accordance with the manufacturer's specifications.
Riding behaviour
Initially, familiarise yourself with the riding and braking behaviour as well as the electric assistance modes and the push assist (if available), especially with different loads, wet conditions and loose ground
After the ride / maintenance
In the event of damage or malfunction, the electric bike must be checked by a specialist before further use
Have the electric bike checked and serviced regularly by a specialist in accordance with the manufacturer's specifications to avoid hazards, e.g. due to wear and tear
Observe the specified torques (Nm) for the assembly of components.
Only use batteries and chargers approved by the manufacturer.
Observe the manufacturer's specifications for charging and using the battery, especially with regard to ambient temperature and location of the charging process.
Only use undamaged and unmodified batteries and chargers.
Any modification to the attachments on the electric bicycle may affect safety and approval. Contact your specialist dealer before undertaking any such work.
Contact your specialist dealer if you are unable to carry out the work described on your electric bike (e.g. making adjustments) yourself, if you feel unsure or if you do not have the right tools.
